Strong Showing in Rotax British Championship
The latest 2 rounds of the British Championship saw the team travel to Clay Pigeon and Kimbolton.
Clay Pigeon was a challenge as none of the drivers had been to the circuit. Mid way through testing Joe Rippin in Junior Max was posting official times inside the top 3. Huge credit to him and the material to be this fast with no testing.
Young Jenson chalk in Micro max races for heat wins and picking up some fastest laps along the way.
In the heats both Joe Rippin and older Brother in senior max Charlie with fellow Senior Teddy Pritchard Williams would all figure in the top 10 of most heats.
In Micro Max Chalk would run second for most of the race a small mistake saw him drop to 3rd and take the final podium spot 🏆
Troubled pre finals meant starting outside the top 25 for all in the main event. Rippin in Junior max came through at speed to finish inside the top ten one of the fastest on track. Similar story for Pritchard Williams in senior max coming through from last to inside the top ten with Joint fastest lap.
Kimbolton once again the team showed great speed, taking multiple fastest laps with Rippin in Junior Rotax, with all three junior drivers figuring in the top 10 at times with Tyla Harris and relatively rookie Matthew Sayer showing good speed.
Similar stories in Senior Rotax Pritchard Williams had 2 great heats inside the top 5 only to be hit with harsh penalty. Whilst Rippin was solid with good speed featuring in the top 10.
The Junior Max final saw Rippin charge through to finish 4th on track challenging for the podium. With Harris in the mid pack.
In senior even after the harsh heat penalty both Pritchard Williams and Rippin ran 8th and 9th until Williams had to retire with electrical problem. Rippin would go on to secure a good top 10 with race winning speed after long gap in his racing for his exams.
Thanks to our In house engine department P1 Power for once again providing the power to again be fastest at British Level.
Next up for the Rotax team is a Pfi Club Race before the Final round of the British Championship at Whilton Mill in October.
